Trump Approves Iran Strike but has not issued the final command, according to CBS. He is holding back in hopes Iran will halt its nuclear program.
Trump has hinted at striking Iran’s Fordo nuclear facility. However, he said, “I may do it, I may not,” suggesting he’s still weighing the risks.
Trump Approves Iran Strike: Khamenei Rejects Surrender
Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei dismissed Trump’s call for unconditional surrender. In a televised speech, Khamenei warned the U.S. would pay a high price for military action.
Iran’s UN delegation criticized Trump as a “has-been warmonger.” They reaffirmed Iran would not negotiate “under duress.”
Israel Expands Air Assault
Israeli forces intensified airstrikes, targeting Iranian missile sites and nuclear facilities. Iran fired back with hypersonic missiles, but no major damage was reported in Israel.
Prime Minister Netanyahu declared Israeli forces “control the skies over Tehran.” He promised continued strikes on Iran’s military and nuclear infrastructure.
U.S. Forces Mobilize
The Pentagon is prepared to act, said Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. Two U.S. aircraft carrier groups are now in the Gulf region, backed by F-22 and F-35 fighter jets and refueling planes.
So far, the U.S. has not requested to use UK military bases. A British official said “all options” remain under consideration, though Washington’s full intentions remain unclear.
Casualties Mount, Evacuations Begin
Israel’s strikes have killed 585 people in Iran, including 239 civilians, according to Human Rights Activists. Iran has fired 400 missiles at Israel, causing 24 civilian deaths.
The U.S. embassy in Jerusalem has issued evacuation plans for Americans in Israel. It remains uncertain how many citizens are leaving or if military flights will assist.
Civil Unrest and Cyber Disruption
Amid rising tension, Iranian state TV reported a satellite hack. A video urged the public to “take control of your future,” referencing 2022 protests. Authorities blamed foreign interference.
